In 1950,
Fleetwood began building recreational vehicles for American families who
were enjoying their new-found postwar prosperity. But it wasn't long
before another need surfaced--the need for affordable homes for young
couples starting families at a rate America had never seen before. Thus,
Fleetwood paved the way for a whole new industry: factory-crafted
residential homes.
Launched as a trailer company, Fleetwood began by creating "homes away
from home" for an American public fascinated by their new ability to
travel the United States by automobile. |
Today, Fleetwood is one of the nation's largest homebuilders, and that
includes builders of both site-built and manufactured homes. But our goal is
